China - Fall 08 - Day Two, Part One - Shanghai

The next morning was spent exploring the LIFE HUB shopping center across the street from the hotel. I found a SANRIO shop that sold BLYTHE dolls...unfortunately for Missy, the dolls cost way more than I was willing to spend. So instead, I bought her dolls some accessories (a set of boots and shoes, and a set of glasses) and got Missy some official Blythe stationery.



We saw some fake PANDAS frolicking among the bamboo...I jokingly named the pandas Pu Ping and Pei Yeng:



All over the complex were these really cool sculptures of these long-legged figures riding on the backs of these horse-dragon beasts:











And of course, there was the omnipresent mascot of the upcoming SHANGHAI EXPO 2010...
